I’m in love with Red Pandas, they are so cute!!!!!!
I drew a Whalermelon last night. A goofy idea that’s been in my head for awhile. This and two other original illustrations are up for grabs. ✨ #whale #watermelon #illustration by loveandasandwich on Flickr.
So. FIL finds out Mon he has cancer in esophagus, liver and lymph nodes. Terminal. Today would have been hado’s cousin’s 25th. OD two years ago-ish. Today his brother (UIL?) finds out he has cancer of kidney and lymph nodes. Unsure of treatment options yet. FIL will be moving in with us shortly until he goes into palliative care. Gonna have to get a storage locker to store some of our stuff (furniture) so he can bring some of his, and for whatever stuff of his he wants before he will pass on/dispose of it.
Shit just got real.
Also, we got a cat.
This is the funniest thing to ever happen to Canada
I have never been prouder to be Canadian
Announcing a name change!
I’ve been feeling for a while now that Studiostrawberri isn’t very representative of me or where I would like to take my art.
So time for a change! I’m going back to using my full name (or variants thereof) from now on.
My main tumblr will be named artofdiana from now on.
My homepage will be called studiostrawberri for at least a little while longer.
StudioStrawberri 2004-2014, thank you for all those years.
Leggings are the must on Mori Girl style, I think. It’s like you’re wearing a layer clothe more :) so it counts, are easy to wear, but in my opinion, hard to combine .-. haha and you can personalize your leggings putting polka dots or painting flowers or bears, stuff :) it wouldn’t be easy to do but maybe would be more YOURS :P and that’s important. I would like to personalize my own leggings. I’ve made some patches for my jeans with bears, frogs dent lions and stars XD I didn’t sew them yet but it’s something :) haha some ideas…
Never thought of this!!!
Erevos Aether’s AW 2014-15 collection, Wake the Serpent Not, contrasts sheer, romantic, fragile textures with armorlike iridescent leather and metallic elements. The architectural qualities of this tough, invulnerable aspect combine with its softer side to create a high sci-fi look that is dark and impressive.
I require all of these outfits immediately. I’m pretty sure I have a doctor’s note to that effect around here somewhere,
I’m working out a series of tutorials for crochet for the blog… but until then, I highly recommend the following:
A Crash Course in Crochet
An outline I wrote that links to several sources for crochet beginners. It’s very rough but I’ve been told that it’s helpful. ^^;
Idiot’s Guide to Crochet
Please ignore the title. If you can find the book, I highly recommend it. It’s authored by one of my favorite designers, June Gllbank. It goes in detail how-to do every kind of stitch and technique in crochet along with illustrations.
What’s great about this book is that it covers all stitch types and techniques. It’s really useful for when you want to look up a certain stitch type when you’re more comfortable working with advanced stitches and whatnot.
If you’re used to basic crochet concepts and stitches (chain, single stitch, that sort), check out her blog: http://www.planetjune.com/blog/tutorials/crochet-tutorials/
Learn How to Crochet - With Slow Motion
If you’re a visual learner, this is one of the better tutorial series I’ve found that includes slow motion so you can see how stitches are done.
I absolutely recommend this book for beginners, even advanced crocheters. It’s just like the Idiot’s Guide to crochet only with more pictures, diagrams, illustrations and a simpler approach on how stitches are done. It includes projects that progressively get harder while teaching you stitches and techniques. Projects range from simple scarves, amigurumi, bags and outfits.
The book also includes how to read patterns, charts and diagrams which can be daunting for a beginner.
Good luck and hope that helps! =)
