SUCCESS

opened CandyCarnival’s head

only got a 3mm square nip of the scalp stuck to the head back !

SCRATCHED THE “RARE” ORANGE AND CREME P-CHIPS (whatever those are) IN THE PROCESS

BRB trying to figure out how to buff them back.  T3T

mental note: make sure least favourite (or easiest replacement) eyechips are on reverse side of eyeball when opening.

I wish I knew more people who customise Blythe dolls :/

reblobbin’ for more suggestions for this lovely lady~

I haven’t rooted anything larger than a dollfie head, and not with mohair.  I’m waiting on a skinnyscalp by Unicornmine- I’m curious how the hair will style.

milky chips (or any, actually) without painting the pupils black, or glow-in-the-dark chips.

hotglue or double-sided tape can be used for any eyechips.

didn’t coolcat redo the scalps?  I forget if the older or newer are the lighter colour.

platypusandbowties:

I feel like asking a whole buncha questions.

Like…

  • the best way to re-root for mohair for the most amount of styling options
  • which chips one uses to get that ghostly effect for their eyes
  • SBL chip removal requires using the hot glue stick technique right?
  • Would it just be best to re-use the scalp I have for Bijoux (my Cousin Olivia) as it’s quite pale.  Coolcat’s scalps are pretty dark :(

If anyone can help with these ♥ to you ^_^

Looting

=/= buying.  If you’re giving a store money in exchange for goods, you are SHOPPING.  The only way you are “looting” Michaels, the dollar store, Zellers etc is if you’re breaking windows and shoplifting.  So stfu and learn how to communicate.

Why hallo there lady! Have you ever done a re-root for one of your Blythe girls yet? I think I will go with a new cool cat scalp and some mohair and really go big the first time. I'd love to see your pictures of your Blythe dolls too! You should post more :) Cris

I haven’t yet!  Rerooting dollfie heads that are like, an inch or so really hurt my wrists so I put it off.  I’ve been thinking of ordering a blank scalp or two to play with; I have some small packs of nylon rooting hair but probably not enough of a single colour for a Blythe.  I love the look of mohair, though!   If you haven’t already, try joining http://blythekingdom.forumotion.com/ - that and ThisIsBlythe are good resources.  I’m waiting on a coolcat scalp (to go under a wig) and a skinnyscalp (to replace one I accidentally dyed) to finish two more dolls.  I’ll go take some more photos though!
